Dr. Lauren is a seasoned psychotherapist practicing primarily in eastern Ontario. She studied medicine in the U.S. and went on to do a Doctorate in Psychology at Southern California University and a PhD at American University in Paris – the latter included modules at The University of Lausanne in Switzerland and Link University in Rome. Her studies, including ongoing post-doctoral work in facets of criminology, brought more building blocks to and for her renown expertise in forensic analysis, forensic profiling, jury selection and interpretation and other areas of legal/criminal pursuits. She received further behavioral specialization at The Cambridge Institute for Behavioral Studies (Harvard affiliated) in Cambridge, Mass.

Dr. Lauren is also a prolific writer and author of nine books, a television commentator in Canada and the U.S., and has been a sought after lecturer (or “educator-entertainer”) who is guaranteed to make tough and challenging lifestyle and work issues into highly palatable presentations. Her one cross-national, one-woman shows on Our Lives as We Know Them have brought audiences to their knees in Canada, in the U.S. and on several continents. Lauren has also appeared on both television and threatre stages with comedians from Lily Tomlin to Ellen, bringing a little something extra to the “crazies” of good humor.

Dr. Lauren is currently working on a book about relationships. The fact that “we don’t love well” concerns her, but so does the related threat of a decrease in overall connection among us.
